In 2015 Joel was diagnosed with a malignant brain tumor called Medulloblastoma at 6 years of age. Joel is an amazing young boy and continues to raise funds and awareness for for childhood cancer, including the small but might walk in Saskatoon.
After attending a Sask based company EcoGenX an agricultural recycling business has teamed up with Small but Mighty to form the silver for gold initiative. Each year several families and businesses collect tabs for this cause and they are turned in at the walk in September. Over 4 million tabs were collected last year with the proceeds going to Childhood Cancer Canada. Lets help Joel beat his tab collection last year which was 56,000 tabs. We will have a collection container set up at the store.
